Dream Hospital
I love the sliding baby and the smoking father. The X-ray tech is unfortunately dead now since he wore no protective shield for the high tech $25,000 machine . And who wouldn't want the pneumatic tubes for sending records?
This hospital was $2 million. The cost of building a hospital in 2009 is $2.5 million per bed. And that doesn't include electronic medical records. Bring back the pneumatic tube.

That baby slide is funny. And rolling the bed out to a pool like it is a hotel.
Also they used to have dumb waiters that could send up or down a try of food from dietary.
I remember one time asking what the pneumatic tube was for. Our local hospital used to have one.
This is great. Your blog is so diverse. I love reading it every day.
I would LOVE to have the sliding baby drawer. Although I might rather use it with an annoying patient.
And what is with the wonder light that prevents operations from "being in shadow"? Did they operate before with flashlights or candles??!?!?
ERP: I loved that too. Just the idea of the surgeon cutting in the shadows was a chuckle. How about the entire bed being pushed out by the swimming pool? I guess that was before they cared about Length of Stay (LOS).
It would also set up a convenient way for patients to elope.
