Blog Followers

If every visitor to EverythingHealth signed up to be a "follower of the blog", I would have over 1,000 new followers a day.

Come-on. Make my day!!!

Hi

My name is Jessica Shaw. I've just visited your website
and I was wondering if you'd be interested in
exchanging links with my website. I can offer you a Home Page link back
from 2 of my Health Guide websites which are:

http://www.scchiropractic.com/ with page rank 3
http://www.calltrol.net/ with page rank 3

If you are interested, please add the following information to your
website and kindly let me know when it's ready. I'll do the same for
you in less than 24 hours, otherwise you can delete my link from your
site.

Title: Asbestos Help
URL: http://www.asbestosvictimadvice.com
Description:Information and advice about asbestos related illness and
compensation.

I hope you have a nice day and thank you for your time.

Best regards;

Doc, what does "follow" include - do I get emails? Or just click it and still check in at my own will and volition? :)

Toni Brayer, MD said...

Anon and Country Midwife: Following really does nothing. I wish it would send a link or notice out for a new post...but it doesn't. Many readers have asked for that but I am not aware of any app that does that, except
Huffington Post. You don't get spam. It seems kind of pointless except to the blogger (me) who feels good that that many people have visited and taken the time to be a "follower" (like Jim P.)

Do Followers enable you to get more advertising links like the ones you have on the side bar?

Toni Brayer, MD said...

Anon 7:55: Maybe, but I think the ability to have ad links depends more upon unique visitors, which are tracked by google and others. I have never been too educated about the whole ad revenue enterprise but I would accept more sponsored links if they came my way.

I'm glad you don't clutter your blog up with too much advertising. I always like your honesty.
